I hereby submit my application to enlist in the Emperor's army.

Reason for Joining: I’ve played with numerous Napoleonics members over the last month and find they are, without exception, players of the highest order. Professional, gracious in victory and defeat, helpful when warranted and open to communication. I tire of battles which last mere minutes, over because people give up. But members of Napoleonics do not quit -- they fight to the end, and that’s a quality I admire. Overall, Napoloenics members have made multiplayer NTW an excellent experience. It would be a privilege and an honour to serve with distinction alongside such fine and outstanding gentlemen.

What do I like about the Napoleonic Era: It’s a subject that fascinated me for years -- indeed one of the first essays I wrote in high school was on the subject of Napoleon. I love the battles and the style of warfare - close, personal combat where technology had not rendered a bayonet charge or an onslaught of cavalry suicidal. Tactically, I’ve studied the great battles of the Napoleonic Wars and marvel that Napoleon was able to pull off victories in the face of such overwhelming odds (at Austerlitz particularly). Not to mention all the elite units -- Grognards, Totenkopf, Green Jacket Infantry for example -- plus uniforms, small arms, artillery… What’s not to like?

How often do I play: Depending on my work schedule and whenever my girlfriend allows me to, I usually try to sneak in a game every night with more lengthy gaming on 4-5 nights per week.
