Gents I'm sorry for the delay in completing my application process, but midterms hit me like a sack of bricks, and gaming has been well out of the question for me. (With the exception of the odd CoH game or two). The worst is over for me, so I should be back in the saddle again by next week.

I watched the American remake of the film last spring I think it was. I drew an allegory or metaphor from it.
Overtly, and with no depth, the girl, even though parasitic at best, can be easily viewed as innocent and a victim of her own dualistic nature; and puppy love seems to be present; but not so.
It is a very creative representation of the contrast of what we believe in to be love, the instinct of self-preservation, and the gray fuzzy area that blood-reliant mortals fall into. If it were not so, all the boys recruited in past ages would have been in a truly reciprocating relationship, instead of a life of continual servitude. We are confused by our own feelings, because we believe what we want to believe. We personify animals and objects etc etc. It's an illusion we love to sustain.
