Yes, the Captain did well enough however you forgot to mention that you were fatigued and inebriated after drinking for 12 straight hours and staying up until 8AM. This coupled with the brilliant strategy and supervision of his commanding officer as well as General Fullin's vicious supporting assault enabled Chromey his victory.

I will add that Captain Chromey's style of local tactics is dissimilar to most and has had difficulty is support of joint operations. He has always been adequate as an individual but is improving to where he now comes into high effectiveness as he meshes better into the fabric of teamwork. This is one of the absolutes of elitism.
