Brigade Desailly - 3 Battalions 2214 men (111th, 12th, 25th, 85th line)
1 light foot artillery

I did this to get a look at more historical armies to take to battle. Instead of always taking 2o whatever units I think it would be pretty cool to represent real Divisions and Division support. It would make battles really interesting as some players would have better Divisional builds than others and would mix things up. We could possible play a historical Corps battle with a 3v3 or 4v4. Any feedback would be welcome, I feel this would be a cool challenge for N vs N battles.

Sounds like a good idea Bill.
This will force players out of their 'comfort zone' as they will have to fight using the troops assigned then.
Anyone can make up scenarios like this, without having to mod the game.
It's just a matter of prescribing the OoB for each player & possibly specifying the map to be used.

Hey Bloody Bill,

I have been wanting to do something like that from the beginning (http://www.thelordz.org/forum/viewtopic ... 38&t=12005). I find bringing historic builds adds a little more Imersion to an already Imersive game. In fact I can see a scenario whereby I'll host a 3v3 and have the teams select not only the nation, but the historic division within that nation with one player a side selecting a cav division. I will refer the contestants to this thread. Is there anyway of getting historic divisions for Russia, Austria and Prussia as well as cav divisions?

Yes its not to hard to get historical oob's if you know where to look buddy. Anon Ill draft one up and send it to you if you like then we can adjust it from there. I was thinking a 3v3 at first as they seem to run smoother.

I was thinking, to make it easier for other players playing with us, using a single site (such as this thread) to refer to for these oob's. Yeah I like to use the oob's from sites like www.napoleonisyka.atspace.com. I too could post these oob's if you'd like?

If all interested we could make a oob post on our site and put in oob's here. We need to make somebody in charge of it for final review of oob's for accuracy as all oob's are anothers views. I have alot of oob's for different miniature rule sets so I will make up a 3v3 oob for us to test. I think ill use the battle of Talevera as my example. I will also talk with our high command about allowing more then 2o units as alot of the oob for divisions call for 22 - 30 units but that can be adjusted if not. Anybody interested please let me know and ill start something right away.

Battle of Bussaco
September 27, 1810

Anglo-Portuguese Army – Wellington

Corps Cavalry (these units are assigned to whatever Div. The commanding general want)
1 Regt. Dragoon Guards
3 Regt. Dragoons.
2 Regt. Light Dragoons
1 Regt. KGL Hussars
4 Regt. Portuguese cavalry

Corps Artillery (these units are assigned to whatever Div. The commanding general want)
1-6lb Horse, 2-6lb Foot, 3-6lb portuguese foot.

1st Infantry Division = 11 Battalions
2 Battalions Foot Guards.
1 Battalion 42nd Foot.
5 Battalions Foot.
3Battalions KGL Foot.

2nd Infantry Division
9 Battalions Foot
8 Battalions Portuguese Foot.

3rd Infantry Division
3 Battalions Foot
1 Battalion 88th Foot
2 Battalions Portuguese Foot

4th Infantry Division
6 Battalions Foot
4 Battalions Portuguese Foot

5th Infantry Division
3 Battalions Foot
3 Battalions Portuguese Foot
1 Battalion Spanish Foot

Light Division
2 Battalions Light Foot
2 Companies of 95th Rifles
2 Companies Cacadores

Portuguese Division
16 Battalions Portuguese Foot

This is a very basic OOB for the Anglo-Portuguese Army scales for NTW3.
I think the picking of the Divisions should either be random or picked by commanding officer. The commanding officer also places cavalry and arty as he see's fit amongst the Divisions.

This is my first example of a historical OOB please feel free to give any feedback. I got the OOB from my Repuliqe miniatures rule set then scaled it to fit our game.
