I find it fascinating how a multitude of battles exhibiting exceptional skill and tactics are thrown to the wind, never to be documented nor even recollected in the slightest degree. And then the alternative example where the history of a battle that displays gross incompetence and lackluster performance is chiseled into the immortal stone of time. I assume the ego or politics may have something to do with this. Regardless, I do prefer infamousness over no fame at all.
