HW Manual wrote:2.1.1 Battle starting time
Battles can start between 6:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Depending on the season, a battle starting at 6:00 am could potentially see units
moving and fighting before sunrise. In such a case, visibility conditions and the
weapons effectiveness are reduced.
2.1.2 Battle duration
You will be able to choose between very short (three hours) or very long (40 hours)
battles.
Battles will always cease at night. As soon as the night has come, the Artificial
Intelligence automatically stops and disengages units. Units locked in combat will stay
in their position, while unengaged units may be relocated.
2.1.4 Season
.
.
The day length also depends on the season:
• In spring and autumn, days last from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
• In summer, days last from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
• In winter, days last from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
2.1.5 Battlefield size
In “HistWar: Les Grognards”, there are four battlefield sizes and two map types:
tactical and campaign.
2.1.5.1 Tactical maps
Designed for tactical fights, these have smaller dimensions:
• 6 km ( the exact dimensions are 6 x 4.5 km)
• 10 km (the exact dimensions are 10 x 7.5 km)
• 15 km (the exact dimensions are 15 x 11.25 km)
2.1.5.2 Campaign maps
These maps are designed for the conduct of campaigns, which will take place on a
single, 30 x 22.5 km map.
When playing in campaign mode (i.e., on a large map) you should first scout the map
with your light cavalry units before formulating your own tactical plan. Meanwhile, you
can order your units to move and occupy the best tactical location
