I haven't forsaken American fb altogether, it's just that the positions are highly specialized and burdened with ton of rules and start/stop action. I wouldn't imagine an offensive linesman being able to run the length of the field a few times then getting his bare head folded into his chest as rugby and aussie fl players do time and again.
Soccer just happens to be the sport others are derived from but is almost as different from american fb as fb is from baseball.

Got roped into watching the game with some United fans, walked out the bar after the seventh goal. Was in shock, was like watching on helplessly whilst some beat up your dad.


Still we seem to be bringing in some players before the transfer deadline.
