My dear sirs, the velites of the 2 Corps are taught to think for themselves when in a tight spot or close contact with the enemy for we know, words build bridges into unexplored regions. For as the former commander was fond of saying," We ain't making no godd#%n cornflakes here." It is also the 1st rule in our (Four Rules To Remember) we have for the velites, they being....
1."If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking."
2."If you're in a fair fight, you didn't plan it properly."
3."Do your damnedest in an ostentatious manner all the time."
4."In the absence of orders, go find something and kill it."
As for another saying the former commander was fond of, and as of this minute I have no opinion one way or other, was,"A sincere diplomat is like dry water or wooden iron."
