If you want to show your Steam friends that you play NTW3, please follow these steps:

1. Launch Steam.
2. Click "Add a (Non-Steam) Game" in the lower left corner of your Steam window.
3. Check the little box next to NTW3's name in the programs list.
4. Click "Add Selected Programs".
5. Launch NTW3 through steam or through your desktop shortcut.

In the case people don't see you playing NTW3, simply reboot your steam client.

a very big misconception by many already, the fact that it is seen as Frivolous irrelevant and of no importance by others is even more of a concern
when i would hope that we all would want to identify ourselves clearly to not be playing VANILLA

ntw is a steam game and so automatically adds it within your library or games list
ntw3 is a none steam game and therefore needs to be manually added
if you do not add ntw3 then even though you are playing it you will show online as playing ntw
by adding ntw3 as a none steam game, while in game it will show you as playing ntw3 and not ntw which currently all do or are doing, even though this information was posted and shared since 2010?

i would really like to see N as the leaders of the community again setting new unequalled standards both on and off the field!

Now that you edited "NTW" to "NTW3" in your first post this makes perfect sense.

The vast majority of an NTW3 player's friends are already aware of the mod or they they do not play NTW at all. My friends list is maxed out and every one is an NTW3 player. The greatest effect will be to those new players' friends who are first trying the mod (such as Lepic's friends).

I will be adjusting my Steam to reflect this, as we all should do.
