Teamspeak AND website

Postby [N]Isaac_Brock » Wed Mar 23, 2011 8:58 pm

Wow, a double whammy. Just as the almost final version of Beta 2 is out, we lose Teamspeak (as I write this it's been down for almost 24 hours) AND we're having connections issues re: the website. The joke has already been bandied around that General Error should be made an official member of N, which is telling.

Any idea what's going on here?

Yes, and you also like to direct us to hacked websites that infect our computers with virus and deltree our c:\ drive. Thanks to you, I've spent 20 hours trying to repair, recover, and reinstall everything on my computer. :fist:

Since I try to find a positive spin to everything, 'm happy that my computer has a fresh start and is running like an Etheiopian competing in the Boston Marathon.

Yay! Teamspeak is back in business (as of 12:30 p.m. EST on March 24, 2011).

I record the time for posterity in case it explodes again

I got a reply from the folks at TservrHq, apparently there has been attacks on our port range in Teamspeak. DDOS attacks trying to overload the system, so our and 9 other servers have changed locations temporarily while the Tserverhq team tries to find out the target of the attack and fix it.
They told me our TS should be up today if not connect to the site where our TS was moved:
put:

vs.teserverhq.com instead of vs2.tserverhq.com, all the rest is the same, we should be fine with that till then.

I am not having problems with our website, i have not had issues with it for months now. I did learn however that the hosting company is canadian, so blame canada.

A likely excuse from the tenant farmer's TS masters. Blaming the problem on an "attack"...riiiight.

Canadian? Oh! Well, under the circumstances I think it is amazing the server is up at all. If they are willing to take our worthless dollars then whatever we get back is a good deal.
