Orange Mod and steam update

After instaling mod manager and orangemod4 my game crashed leaving my pc hung reset button required :s

After restarting my pc and then steam i got a message STEAM UPDATE IN PROGRESS then nothing i then couldnt log into steam and had to reset my password.

Today i cannot get any game in online mode all show as red and diffrent version of NTW even after taking the orangemod out

Any help would be as i cant play online

After the update the 'orange' mod no longer works for me.
NTW crashes 1/2 way through loading up.
How do you fix the problem?
It cant be too difficult if Tac has mastered it.
Perhaps someone could post instructions here?

Avon delete all the previous mod files from your data folder.
The only mod file you need to keep is then orange mod file. Change the .pak extension of the file to .pak2 or whatever so mod manager cannot recognize it.
Launch mod manager, if it only shows vanilla files then you are good to go.
Launch NTW then, it should work.
This happened to me yesterday too.
BDC might be giving us a new compatible and improved version of orange sooner than we thought.
